- Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts (CSIA) Studio & Artist Residencies – Hosting three to six Artists-in-Residence annually, offering both emerging and established artists the opportunity to spend two weeks in the CSIA studio creating new limited-edition prints; by invitation only.
- Cultural Survival Indigenous Writers in Residence Program – Opportunity for Indigenous journalists, writers, and creatives to gain experience being published on website and “Cultural Survival Quarterly” magazine.

- First Peoples Fund Fellowship Opportunities – Offering three unique fellowship opportunities designed to support Native artists at different stages of their creative and professional journeys: Artist in Business Leadership Fellowship (ABL); Cultural Capital (CC); Native Performing Arts (NPA).
- First Peoples Fund OLA Artist-In-Residence Program – Two to six weeks residencies designed to support Oglala Lakota culture bearers and artists working in the continuum of Lakota art: open to visual artists, writers, composers, choreographers, interdisciplinary artists, performance artists, and collaborative teams, with established or emerging artists from Oceti Sakowin Bands.
- Forge Project Fellowships – Three-week residency offering a total of $25,000 toward their practice, access to the Forge Project site, libraries, and lending collection of living Indigenous artists. Two of the fellowships are awarded to enrolled tribal members, First- and Second-Line Descendants of the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohican Indians.
- Harwood Art Center Artist in Residence Program (Albuquerque, NM) – Year-long residency, two six-week exhibitions, project, promotional, and professional staff support, honoraria to support time, materials and creative work.
- Indigenous Roots Cultural Arts Center McKnight Artist & Culture Bearer Fellowships – Annually supporting three culture bearers dedicated to preserving sacred and healing traditions and passing cultural arts across generations; $25,000 unrestricted award, Minnesota residents only.
- Intercultural Leadership Institute (ILI) – Year-long intensive leadership experience for artists, culture bearers and other arts practitioners; honing personal and professional skills to affect local, national and global communities.
- Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) Artist-in-Residence (A-i-R) Program – Hosting up to 10 Native American and First Nation artists for four, six, and eight-week residencies; open to artists who work in painting, drawing, beadwork, quillwork, weaving, basketry or other textile and fiber arts, printmaking and photography, digital art, installation art, sculpture, bronze, glass, jewelry, ceramics, and hide and leather work.
- Luce Indigenous Knowledge Fellowship (Longmont, CO) – Administered by First Nations Development Institute (FDNI); supporting and convening Native American knowledge holders and knowledge makers, including cultural leaders, media makers, scientists, health professionals, academics, curators, artists, writers, policy makers, filmmakers, journalists, teachers, performers, music or theater.
- LUX Center for the Arts Artist in Residence Program (Lincoln, NE) – Year-long residency opportunity; strong desire to teach is required. Artists with more than one area of expertise and a BFA/MFA or equivalent experience are preferred.

- New Mexico Museum of Art Vladem Contemporary Artist-in-Residence Program – Two to four weeks, open to mid-career and established visual artists; honorarium of $10,000, and a material stipend of $1,000.

- School for Advanced Research (SAR) Indian Arts Research Center (IARC) Native Artist Fellows – Three non-residential fellowships to support the creative development of both established and emerging Native American artists. Applications accepted through January 15 annually.
- Sundance Institute Indigenous Program – Labs and fellowships focusing on the specific development of storytellers from Native and Indigenous backgrounds; Indigenous Film Tour.
- Tamarind Institute at the University of New Mexico (UNM) Artist Residency Program with Student Printers – Hosting two-week residencies in the workshop, each working with a team of student printers under the close supervision of a Tamarind Master Printer.
- Tulsa Artist Fellowship Award – Supporting national and local artists and/or arts workers of any medium and/or discipline with a minimum of five years of arts field experience; three-year award term, must commit to residing and working in Tulsa, Oklahoma— Multi-year stipends/studios; strong Indigenous cohort. Open call for the 2026-2028 Tulsa Artist Fellowship award is closed.
- Ucross Foundation Residency – Annual residencies to approximately 115 individuals ranging from two weeks to six weeks in length; up to ten individuals in residence, typically four writers, four visual artists, and two composers. Open call for applications for Fall 2026 (August through early December): November 1, 2025 – January 15, 2026.
- Ucross Foundation Fellowship for Native American Artists – Four-week residency, includes uninterrupted time, private studio space living accommodations, meals prepared by professional chef, a stipend, and an award of $2,000 and the opportunity to present work publicly.
