Implement Effective Programs and Services

The heart of any Arts Council is its community programming. Providing programs and services that meet the needs of the community will ensure that the Native Arts & Culture Council is successful and sustainable. All activities, programs, and services should be relevant and reflective of the diversity of local artists and culture bearers.

  • Prioritize quality and inclusivity: Ensure programs are well-planned, professionally delivered, and accessible to diverse community members.
  • Offer a variety of programs: Cater to different age groups, artistic disciplines, and learning styles. Examples include artist residencies, youth art camps, traditional arts workshops, community art projects, and public performances.
  • Provide artist support: Offer professional development opportunities, mentorship programs, and grant or loan programs to empower artists.
  • Cultivate partnerships with artists and cultural practitioners: Integrate their knowledge, skills, and perspectives into program development and delivery.
  • Seek continuous feedback: Regularly gather input from participants, artists, and community members to improve programs and services.
