Purpose 

The Resources & Training Committee develops practical tools, training programs, and mentorship support that tribal library workers can use immediately. Its focus is usability, clarity, and impact. 

What This Committee Does 

  • Writes and edits practical templates and guides 
  • Designs training webinars and follow-up materials 
  • Organizes and curates online resources 
  • Matches mentors and mentees 
  • Ensures materials reflect tribal library realities 

2026 Priorities 

  • Identify top resource and training priorities 
  • Conduct a targeted audit of existing materials 
  • Launch and organize the TLC Resource Hub 
  • Develop a core starter set of practical tools 
  • Establish a recurring webinar training series 
  • Document and repurpose ATALM conference sessions 
  • Direct a mentorship and peer matching program 

Who Should Join 

Library practitioners, trainers, grant writers, editors, digital specialists, and anyone committed to building usable tools. 

How It Works 

The committee meets regularly on the third Thursday of each month at 2 p.m. EST during general meetings of the Tribal Library Council. Committee Chairs may call meetings as needed. Progress is tracked through 30-day action plans and reported to membership during monthly TLC meetings.
