Session Proposals Closes Tuesday, February 10

We invite proposals that reflect Indigenous priorities, lived experience, and innovative approaches across archives, libraries, museums, cultural centers, historic preservation, and the arts.

Hotel/Travel/Attractions 

Priority Access Registration – Closes Friday, March 27

Priority Access Registration provides priority placement in high-demand sessions and field trips (subject to availability) and a $100 discount over Early Bird Registration. ATALM places a limit of 100 Enhanced Registrations and 200 Basic Registrations during Priority Registration.

Priority Access Rates:

  • Basic Registration – $350 Members | $400 Non-Members
  • Enhanced Registration – $500 Members | $550 Non-Members

ATALM2026 STRATEGY SUMMITS, Request to Participate Closes May 1

Scheduled for Monday, September 21, Strategy Summits are designed to drive national, Indigenous-led change. The Summits focus on shared problem-solving and strategy development to inform ATALM’s national initiatives.

  • Artificial Intelligence, Data Sovereignty, and Indigenous Knowledge Summit 
  • Indigenous Knowledge Centers: A Master Plan for Tribal Libraries Summit 
  • Shared Stewardship, Voluntary Returns, and Reclaiming Oral Histories Summit  
  • Strengthening Institutional Support for Native Artists Summit 

Pacific Islander Delegate Program – Closes Monday, March 2

In an effort to support those working in an Indigenous cultural setting in the Pacific Islands, IMLS has provided funding for up to 25 delegates to attend ATALM 2026.

Exhibitor/Advertiser/Sponsorship Opportunities 

Native Art Market 

ATALM provides subsidized artist booths as a service to both artists and conference attendees. Artists must verify tribal enrollment and comply with the Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990.

National Planning Council

Joining the Council is an opportunity to contribute expertise, elevate community voices, and help shape a meaningful national gathering. First meeting of the Council is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28 at the Davenport Grand Hotel in Spokane, WA.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers play a vital role in ensuring the conference runs smoothly. All volunteers must be registered for the conference. 

Community Impact Awards  

The Community Impact Awards acknowledge and celebrate initiatives that exemplify community engagement, innovation, and overall excellence. Initiatives that are replicable in other communities receive priority consideration.

Scholarships    

Thanks to support from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, ATALM is offering registration and lodging scholarships.

Mentorship Program

Connect with peers and gain priority access to special networking events.

Professional Development Certificate Program    

At no additional charge, conference attendees may earn a Professional Development Certificate, thanks to funding provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
