Digital Inclusion Summit, Marriott at Metro Center, Washington, DC


In response to recommendations made in ATALM’s 2014 Digital Inclusion in Native Communities: The Role of Tribal Libraries, this daylong Summit is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9 from 9 AM to 5 PM in Washington, DC. Coordinated by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the agenda includes presentations on federal funding availability, polices that promote digital inclusion, improving broadband connectivity, and leading-edge content and devices. Joining the effort are the White House, Department of Commerce, U.S. Department of Education, Federal Communications Commission, and Department of Interior, as well as tribal leaders and librarians from throughout the nation.
