Applicant Criteria

• Must currently work or volunteer with tribal archive, library, museum, or cultural programs located in the United States, or be
• Currently enrolled in a museum, library, or archival-related educational program.

Scholarship Information

• Scholarships range from $250 to $750.
• In order of priority, scholarships are to cover (1)registration; (2) accommodations; (3) travel. Travel awards are rare.
• Awards are based on financial need, the extent to which you will benefit from the conference, and the amount of funding available.
• Only one scholarship application per tribe/organization is permitted.
• Applications must be received by March 1, 2012. You will be notified via e-mail no later than March 15, 2012 as to the status of your application.

Registration

• If awarded a scholarship, you will receive instructions on how to register.
• Scholarship registration does not cover pre-conference events or special ticketed events.

Lodging

• To be eligible for lodging, you must travel at least 100 miles round trip.
• You may be assigned a roommate. If you wish to have a single room, you will be required to pay the difference.
• Only the hotel room rate and taxes are covered. All other room charges, such as telephone calls, movies, etc., are your responsibility.

Meals

• Registration includes two breakfasts and three luncheons.

Travel

• Travel is rarely funded. No travel award will exceed $250.
• Travel stipends are paid once travel arrangements are made and verified by ATALM
• Funds are not provided for local transportatio, airport parking, etc.

Application Process

• Applications must be received by March 1, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. CST.
• You may complete the online application form You will receive a copy of the information you submit via email.
• Once your application is received, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation within two business days, please contact the ATALM office at 405-522-3515
• You will be notified no later than March 15, 2012 as to whether or not you received a scholarship.
• If you are awarded a scholarship, you will be required to sign a scholarship agreement.
